Shropshire Homes is shortlisted for business award
12th June, 2019
Shropshire Homes will find out this week if it has won one of the biggest prizes in its history.
The housebuilder has been shortlisted for the prestigious Company of the Year accolade at the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards 2019.
The nomination comes on the back of Shropshire Homes’ impressive record of creating stunning homes that are in keeping with their environment. This has not only involved the creation of new properties at sites such as Tibberton Fields near Newport and Cricketers’ Meadow in Pontesbury, but also the conversion of historic buildings including The Beeches in Ironbridge and Leighton Park in Shrewsbury.
Shropshire Homes’ managing director, Howard Thorne, said it was exciting to be shortlisted for the award. “We’re delighted to be featuring among the finalists for this year’s prestigious Shropshire Chamber Business Awards 2019.
“To be shortlisted for Company of the Year demonstrates the huge variety of work Shropshire Homes is currently undertaking across the county and beyond. Whether it’s working with English Heritage to transform a derelict, crumbling Grade II listed building into luxury apartments, or showcasing our design capabilities by creating attractive properties across the county, we continue to strive for excellence in everything we do.”
Last week Shropshire Homes celebrated another fantastic achievement at the LABC West Midlands Building Excellence Awards. The prestigious ‘St George’s Mansions’ development in Stafford, won the Best Change of use of an Existing Building or Conversion Award. The company now waits in anticipation for the national finals in November. Following this success, the Company of the Year accolade from the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards will be another incredible achievement for Shropshire Homes, one of the biggest yet.
The Shropshire Business Awards are now in their 19th year and are open to all businesses in the county. The awards take place on Friday 14th June at The International Centre in Telford and will see businesses vying for the chance to win one of the 17 awards.
