Last December, first-time-buyer’s Annie and Jack were amongst the first few residents to move in at our Oakmere Ridge development in Ellesmere. Their new home, the Kynnersley from our Legacy Collection, is a two-bedroom semi-detached home benefiting from an open-plan kitchen/dining room with double doors that lead out to the private garden. Upstairs boasts two spacious bedrooms with an en-suite in bedroom one.
Now that the couple are settled in, we met with Annie to hear all about how wonderful their new home is! On entering the home, it feels inviting and homely, a true sanctuary for relaxation. Annie commented on how spacious and secure the home feels, in addition to being so well-built and solid.
On asking Annie what her favourite thing about the house is, she said “the kitchen, we really liked the choices and being able to make it our own. There were lots of options and we were surprised at how high the standard specification is, especially compared to other housebuilders we had looked at.”
Having moved from Annie’s mum’s home and being first-time-buyers, they were unsure what to expect when buying a new home, but found the customer journey with Shropshire Homes thorough and a slick process. Annie commented “Every question we had was answered, we had questions on our flooring and wanted to make changes, and Shropshire Homes came straight back to us with an answer”.
The couple are also happy with how helpful and efficient site have been throughout the process. Being new to Air Source Heat Pumps as a home energy source, the couple were a bit nervous, but customer care and site have been brilliant in answering any questions they’ve had.
When looking for their new home, Annie and Jack were particularly drawn to Ellesmere for its community feel combined with lots of local amenities and being surrounded by countryside. In the future, they want to welcome a dog to their new home and love how many walks there are in and around Ellesmere!
When asked what drew them to Oakmere Ridge, Annie said “When we looked on the website, Shropshire Homes looked more professional than other builders. You could clearly see where each sales person was based, and I liked how you can go into each development and view the different house types, their floor plans and see where they’re situated on the site plan. Everyone we spoke to was so friendly and helpful as well.”
