Andy Sheldon Gives Tour and Presentation to Crudgington Primary School

Crudgington Primary School
07th December, 2023

On the afternoon of Monday 4th December, Land Director at Shropshire Homes, Andy Sheldon, met with Mrs Nicholls and class 4 from Crudgington Primary School to discuss Crudgington Fields development, as part of class 4’s Geography topic this term.

Andy started the afternoon by taking class 4 on a tour around the first phase of Crudgington Fields where the development is pedestrianised. Focussing much of the tour on the attenuation pond, Andy explained why we have the attenuation pond and what it is used for.

Following the tour, they headed back to the school to get warm (it was a very wet day!) whilst Andy delivered his presentation showing a time-line of the Crudgington Fields site, referring all the way back to 1902 up until now, including pictures of its previous use as a creamery (shown below) which was closed in 2014 and demolished in 2015, prior to Shropshire Homes purchasing the site.

In addition to this, Andy showed the class future plans regarding phase two, which has already commenced and will provide fifty-five two, three and four bedroom homes for the local community and beyond. Class 4 had lots of questions for Andy and took a real interest in the topic.

We hope class 4 enjoyed their afternoon with Andy learning about the history and geography behind Crudgington Fields. Wishing them all a Happy Christmas!
