This year, Shropshire Homes hosted a Best Dressed Christmas Home competition for all of our home buyers in current developments, with a £250 Marks & Spencer voucher as the prize.
We received lots of wonderful festive decorated homes, but there could only be one winner… After deliberation from our three judges, Catherine & Paul Gill from Forest Edge were chosen as our 2023 winners for Shropshire Homes’ Best Dressed Christmas Home competition.
To celebrate the occasion, we visited Catherine and Paul in their home, the Walcott house type from the Classic Collection. The home was as beautiful in person as it looked in their pictures, and their Christmas tree was just as spectacular as we had imagined, oozing sophistication and traditional decorations. It was lovely to hear that some of the decorations had been passed down generations, and Catherine had even had a few of them since she was 2 years old!
Catherine & Paul made the Walcott, a four-bedroom detached property, at Forest Edge their home earlier this year, choosing to move back to the area where Catherine’s Grandma lived and downsize. Having lived in their new home for over a month now, they’ve settled in and commented on how they particularly love their spacious kitchen, the heart of the home. They also mentioned how unique they find the Walcott, and especially like that their street has a variety of different house types on, which a new build estate can sometimes be missing.
