Last week, we met with Hafwen in her new home at Oakmere Ridge, Ellesmere, to see how she’s been settling in, having moved into her lovely Acton in August.
Hafwen was actually drawn to Oakmere Ridge for the Acton itself – after looking for properties in the general area, she saw a listing of one of our Actons online. She told us “we kept coming back to this house, we drove up all the way from Oxford for a viewing and just fell in love – we reserved ours the next day!”
Now that she’s been enjoying her new home for a few months, Hafwen’s favourite part about the Acton is her kitchen, with its large skylight and position on the back of the house, which she says makes her feel like she’s out in the garden, this being especially lovely during the summer months.
Speaking on her customer journey, Hafwen actually had a fairly stressful experience, with the buyer of her previous house pulling out of the sale on the day she was due to complete on her new home. Despite this, Hafwen said “no pressure or stress ever came from Shropshire Homes, I felt like everybody was so patient. I definitely get the benefit of buying from a smaller house builder, it really feels like a family firm, and the communication between everyone has been great.”
In particular, Sales Executives Sarah & Emma were the real highlight for Hafwen, supporting her every step of the way not only with the technicalities of her purchase, but also with the finer details; “Emma and Sarah were fab, they helped me with loads of ideas and got quotes for everything I wanted, nothing was too much trouble. Although we had loads included on the standard specification of the Acton, we really wanted to go for it so we did add lots, and Emma and Sarah were great with suggestions and helping me decide what I wanted.”
When asked the all-important question of whether she’d buy from us again, Hafwen said “Definitely, we’ve had an amazing experience, and also the quality of the build is great. This is our 11th house in 20 years and we’ve never felt more settled in a house or an area so quickly.”
