Last week, we visited Jack in his new home at Crudgington Fields to see how he’s settling in.
Jack has actually lived at Crudgington Fields since August 2022 – having originally bought a Berwick on Phase 1, he chose to stay and upgrade to a Blakeley on Phase 2.
Jack was drawn to the Blakeley initially for his particular plot, benefitting from a south-facing garden and views across the neighbouring fields. Having been in the house since March, the kitchen is now his favourite part; “Everyone gravitates towards the kitchen, we spend so much time in here. We never really shut the French doors, it’s great for the dogs to be able to go in and out.”
Jack also highlighted the high-quality standard specification of the Blakeley, being part of our Classic Collection; “It’s nice not having to upgrade the house, everything standard was really good, I only upgraded the bathroom upstairs.”
When asked why he chose to stay in Crudgington, Jack said “It’s a really good balance of the countryside and the town, it’s so much quieter than where I lived before.” He also mentioned the great dog walks around the area, and how he feels the Blakeley is “future proofed - I don’t ever need to move again!”
When asked for the highlight of his customer journey, Jack was quick to emphasise our site team:
“Because it’s a smaller company, I’ve been on this site three years and I know the site lads. Although there’s always builders it hasn’t felt invasive because they’re really nice, they always speak to you when you’re walking round. It’s nice living on a building site and feeling comfortable.”
Jack also highlighted the ease of purchasing his home thanks to Sales Executive Maggie and Site Manager Jamie; “I’ve had a really nice experience, absolutely stress-free. I haven’t had to worry about anything, Maggie was a gem. Jamie has been here from the start. I’ve had a couple of teething issues as expected and Jamie has been on it, it’s all been really easy.”
When asked the all-important question of whether he’d recommend Shropshire Homes to friends and family, Jack said: "Yes, it has been really lovely. Everyone has gone well above and beyond. 100%.”
