In February, Karen and Paul made a move just across the border into England from a secluded part of Wales to Lawrence Park in Pontesbury. After a few months to settle in, we paid them a visit to see how they were getting on.
Having chosen to move to from a quiet area of Wales, Karen and Paul sought a place in the countryside with amenities close by. After looking at various house builders and areas, the couple came across Shropshire Homes’ Lawrence Park in Pontesbury, and knew it was the ideal village and development – being in the countryside whilst having everything you could need in the village and further amenities nearby in Shrewsbury. Visiting a variety of different house builders, Karen and Paul both commented on how much more of a higher-quality Shropshire Homes’ finish is in comparison.
Karen and Paul were particularly taken by the Ryton house type, a four-bedroom detached home from Shropshire Homes’ Classic Collection. On asking them what drew them to the Ryton and what they love most about the home now they are all moved in, Karen said “The garden was a huge draw for us, it was by far the biggest and most private garden we’d seen in a new build, and ideal for Paul’s garden railway set. We also really love the kitchen, and our island. Oh, and the energy efficiency of the solar panels are a huge benefit.
Paul added, “…and the fact that the house is all ready, exactly how we would like it, so there is very little DIY involved!”.
We also asked what attracted them to Lawrence Park in particular, Karen responded “Lawrence Park is a lovely development, very quiet and small, in an ideal location – it has everything, three pubs, shop, everything is in walking distance, and Shrewsbury is just a short drive away which is ideal for the larger supermarkets.”
Pontesbury is also surrounded by the Shropshire Hills, which Karen and Paul are very much looking forward to tackling at some point in the near future.
At Shropshire Homes, we have an eight-step customer journey process from choosing your new home to after care once you are living in your new home. The eight-step journey can be found here: https://www.shropshire-homes.com/your-customer-journey.
Karen and Paul commended Shropshire Homes for our smooth customer journey, particularly mentioning Site Manager, Darren Evason, for his communication throughout the build of their new home and following completion, as well as Sales Executive, Jean Embrey, for looking after them and going through all the important details.
The couple both agreed that their new home by Shropshire Homes, “Met everything we needed and more”.
A huge thank you to Karen and Paul for inviting us into their home and sharing their experience with Shropshire Homes.
