Last week, we visited residents Katy & Emma in their new home at Foundry Point, Whitchurch.
After living in Market Drayton, Katy & Emma were looking to move somewhere more well-connected to give their children more independence. Following viewings at various developments, they settled on Whitchurch thanks to its transport links and range of activities for children, as well as schools in the area.

Once their minds were made up on Foundry Point being their new home, Katy & Emma chose the Shawbury due to its attractive layout, particularly downstairs, and how well it works as a family home. Emma highlighted the open-plan kitchen/dining room as her favourite part of the house due to the skylights, and the natural light they bring in throughout the day.
Katy & Emma particularly mentioned their Air Source Heat Pump as a draw to their home, as it was one of the reasons they chose their plot over any other Shawbury at Foundry Point. Air Source Heat Pumps transfer heat from the outside air to the water in your central heating system, and are brilliant for lowering CO2 emissions as well as your energy bill – Katy & Emma mentioned how much lower their electric bill is compared to their old property, and how well the house retains its heat.
As well as the lower energy costs of their new build home, Katy & Emma specifically chose a new build to be able to put their own stamp on things through choosing their finishes, and commented “It’s great to be able to see the whole process from start to finish; there’s no need to worry about the last time things were checked, everything is brand new!”

When asked for the highlight of their customer journey, Katy & Emma were quick to emphasise our incredible Sales Executive:
“Ruth. She is lovely. She makes you feel so at ease. From the moment she gets in the office to the moment she gets home she’s so on it. We had problems with our buyers and Ruth phoned every day, estate agents and solicitors, to try and get us in our house. She pushed and pushed to get us in.”
On asking Katy & Emma whether they’d recommend Shropshire Homes, their reply was “Definitely. For the pure fact that any issues we’ve had (and there’s not been many) they’ve been sorted within a few days. You sometimes hear some horror stories about new builds but everything we’ve brought to attention has been dealt with. We cannot complain about Shropshire Homes at all.”
It's wonderful to see how happy Katy & Emma are in their Shawbury at Foundry Point. We’d like to say a huge thank you to them for inviting our Marketing Team into their lovely home. We wish them all the best at Foundry Point!
