In collaboration with Chapter 9 Design, Shropshire Homes have been running a competition for our upcoming Show Home at Derrington Meadows, Ditton Priors!
Children from the local school, Brown Clee Primary School, were given the opportunity to design a children’s bedroom based on their favourite book, using a template designed by our interior design team to create their own room layouts, deciding on furniture, a colour scheme, and adding some creative flair!
With lots of brilliant entries, our judges had a tough time landing on a winner…
In first place was Grace from Scorpions class, who chose ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ as her favourite book, and designed a very creative moodboard, using fabric swatches, wallpaper prints, and her own artwork to bring her vision to life.
As well as having her design used by our interior design team in our Blakeley Show Home, Grace also won a £50 voucher to Waterstones!
Runners up Zac and Samuel, inspired by books ‘The Explorer’ and ‘Mortal Engines’, both had very detailed moodboards with great ideas, and each received a £10 voucher to Waterstones.
We’d like to say a huge thank you and well done to all the children at Brown Clee Primary School for their wonderful creative ideas, and we can’t wait to see Grace’s design brought to life in our Blakeley Show Home next year!
