Senior Business Support Administrator Sarah Newton’s charity afternoon for Lingen Davies was a huge success, culminating in her raising £5000 for the charity!
As well as shaving her head, Sarah ran an auction, a raffle, a tombola, and a game called “wine or water”, on Saturday 1st March at The Hare and Hounds in Withington, all to support the incredible work that Lingen Davies do in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and mid-Wales to enhance and improve the lives of local cancer patients and their families.
The money Sarah raised will go directly to Lingen Davies, to help them supply equipment to support cancer treatment such as cooling caps, radar keys, and bins for boys, as well as allowing them to help prevent cancer, encourage patients to seek treatment earlier, and support people to live their lives well – during and after treatment.
We’d like to extend our thanks to The Ugly Duckling, Pretty Green Aesthetics, The Old Three Pigeons, Simply Perfect, and all other businesses and individuals who donated either raffle prizes or money to Sarah and her wonderful cause.
