Last month, Shropshire Homes handed over six affordable homes at Oakmere Ridge in Ellesmere to the Housing Plus Group, a housing association based in Shropshire and Staffordshire.

The two and three bedroom houses built by Shropshire Homes create affordable housing for the local community, and will enable Housing Plus to provide rented and shared ownership homes to those who need them the most.

With a further two houses being handed over this month and another seven on the next phase, Shropshire Homes’ Oakmere Ridge development will provide a total of 15 affordable homes for the local community in Shropshire.

Shropshire Homes Land Manager, Andrew Rogers, commented, “We’re really excited to be completing our first batch of affordable homes at our Oakmere Ridge Development. These homes are built to meet new building regulations in order to ensure that those with additional needs in the area have access to safe and purpose-built accommodation, including wheelchair users.

“These new affordable homes mark the latest release of new homes built by Shropshire Homes for Housing Plus Group.”
