Every year, Shropshire Homes raise funds for a chosen charity at their Christmas party and over the festive period. This year, the company chose Lingen Davies, raising a total of £610. Lingen Davies exist to improve the lives of everyone impacted by cancer in their community and help others to understand and recognise the signs and symptoms of cancer, and are a charity close to Shropshire Homes’ hearts.
As part of the fundraiser, the team organised a raffle for £2 a ticket – the winner was to receive a £100 voucher for a place of their choice, donated by Shropshire Homes. The winner of the raffle was Rebecca Hayward, Marketing Executive at Shropshire Homes, who chose for the £100 that would have gone towards her voucher to go to Lingen Davies instead. The raffle raised a total of £200 with Rebecca’s additional donation.
On the night of the Shropshire Homes Christmas party, we hosted a ‘Heads & Tails’ game, which involved multiple choice questions about Shropshire. It took a while but there could only be one winner, and that was Andrew Rogers, Land Manager at Shropshire Homes – at least we know he knows his Shropshire land well!
A huge well done to all involved in fundraising for Lingen Davies, a much deserved cause.
