Shropshire Homes recently introduced a free Paediatric First Aid training course to all employees of the company.
Shropshire Homes already offer First Aid and Mental First Aid training company-wide. During these sessions, trainer, Jon Sharrock, had received requests from team members to also receive Paediatric First Aid training. Being a family orientated company, Shropshire Homes’ Managing Director, Richard Shackleton was more than happy to fund Jon Sharrock’s training qualification and offer this training across the company.
This week was the first set of Paediatric training sessions with those who requested to take part. Pictured is Sophie Turner – Accounts Assistant, Karen Trusselle – Sales Administrator, Jon Sharrock – IT Manager and Trainer, Lloyd Coffey – Carpenter and Steve Coffey – Site Manager.
Jon Sharrock, IT Manager and Trainer, said “I host First Aid and Mental Health First Aid training at Shropshire Homes already, and was asked by a few members of staff if we’d be able to offer Paediatric First Aid training. Being the family orientated company we are, the directors were happy to oblige and bought baby and junior manikins. The first few sessions have been a success and I look forward to providing further training in the future.”
Shropshire Homes plan to also offer Paediatric First Aid training to their customers across their developments.
