This weekend, Sarah Cotton, Sales Executive at Foundry Point, will be embarking on a challenge to climb Snowdon to fundraise for West Midlands Regional Burns Unit Trust.
Sarah accompanied by her husband and friends will be tackling the 1050m mountain on Saturday morning with the aim to fundraise
for Birmingham Hospital's Burns Unit, Burnaid, a charity close to Sarah's heart who saved her son's life when he was scolded at just 18 months old. After spending 2 weeks in intensive care and 10 weeks in Birmingham Children's Hospital Burns Unit, Sarah's son, Alex, had to learn to walk, talk, speak and eat all over again. The Burns Unit were incredible and continue to be for Children who fall victim to burns and their families.
Each year, Sarah raises funds for the charity and has chosen a physically tasking challenge of climbing Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. Had the Burns Unit and Birmingham Children's Hospital not have been their to support Alex, Sarah and their family, things could have been very different, and Sarah will forever be thankful to them.
