Last week, Shropshire Homes sponsored the Energize School Games for the 12th year in a row, having first supported the event in 2012.
A worthy charity, Energize work collaboratively with local and national partners to create the conditions for an active nation using the power of sport and physical activity to transform lives. Energize organise an annual School Games for Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, bringing over 450 pupils from nearly 30 Primary Schools all over the county this year to take part in sport and physical activity, with a further 50 young leaders from Secondary Schools running the event. The sports and activities included sports hall athletics, netball, kwik cricket, tag rugby, archery, squash, boxing, tennis, cricket and orienteering.
Richard Shackleton, Managing Director at Shropshire Homes, commented “Shropshire Homes are proud to sponsor School Games in partnership with Energize who are a fantastic charitable organisation within the Active Partnerships network, working together with local and national partners to create the conditions for an active nation. Not only do these pupils get to try new sports and activities, but it also encourages active lifestyles and promotes the fun of sports.”
A huge well done to all who took part.
