Shropshire Homes has a renowned reputation for its commitment to training and investing in its people. First Aid training is no exception to this rule.
By law, a company of Shropshire Homes’ size only requires three first aiders. However, with the safety of the team being at the forefront of our operations, Shropshire Homes offer First Aid training to all team members.
At Shropshire Homes, we are fortunate to have an in-house First Aid trainer, Jon Sharrock, who is on hand to offer advice and training when required. Jon is also a trainer of Mental Health First Aid, Safeguarding, Manual handling, Health & Safety and Fire Safety. In addition to this, Jon also installs all defibrillators across Shropshire Homes’ developments.
Last Monday, Jon trained another group of Shropshire Homes employees in Level 3 Emergency First Aid. This included those who had previously obtained the certificate and required a ‘refresher’ course, as well as those who had never trained in first aid, taking the total First Aiders to nearly fifty across the whole company.
