With a passion for the industry from a young age, Dan's journey from the day of his A-level exams to his current role is a testament to his commitment to his personal and professional growth.

Dan's journey at Shropshire Homes began in July 2018 when he joined as a Technical Assistant, working alongside Mark Hinks, Technical Manager. His initial role involved delving into the intricate aspects of pre-construction, site appraisal, and site investigation.

While working as Technical Assistant, Dan completed a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction & the Built Environment at Shrewsbury College. With Shropshire Homes' support, he attended college one day a week and earned a merit for his dedication and hard work.

Following his achievement, Dan embarked on a three-year journey at the University of Wolverhampton to study Construction Management. Even though juggling work and education was challenging, Dan managed to balance the demands of his job with his academic pursuits. This dedication resulted in a well-deserved 2:1 degree.

Dan's time at Shropshire Homes has been a period of significant personal and professional growth, expressing how the supportive and friendly environment cultivated by his colleagues has allowed him to blossom. He speaks highly of the people he works with, underlining their approachability and camaraderie.

Over the years, Dan's confidence has soared, and his understanding of housebuilding and the construction industry has deepened. His problem-solving skills have developed significantly, finding solutions even in the face of challenges. Dan's aspirations stretch far beyond his current role as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, with a desire to move into construction management or directorship positions. His ambition reflects his dedication to the industry and his determination to climb the career ladder.
