This week, Shropshire Homes have been fortunate to have a work experience student from Shrewsbury Colleges Group, Tommy, join the technical department.
Tommy studies a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment at Shrewsbury Colleges Group. On searching for a work experience placement to increase his knowledge and obtain practical experience in a housing technical department, he was offered a week's placement at Shropshire Homes.
Tommy, who is currently 17 years old, aims to become an Architectural Designer. Focusing on this goal, once he has completed college, he intends to obtain a work placement where he can work and study - combining aspects of industry and education, which many of our employees at Shropshire Homes do and find extremely effective.
